Default FNG here

Hey guys. I am new here, like brand new. I was hoping for a little help. I just picked up a 2014 Ultra Limited and i had a few questions. so I am going to jump right in. First... how do i know if i have heated grips? And if i do, how to i turn them on. Second... how in the crap do i link my iphone to the boom box? Nothing seems to be working. When i get to the screen for "phone", i touch it, and it says initializing. It never moves from there. Any help ???

Welcome aboard.
Grips if stock would have a numerical switch on the end

check here for the phone/boombox issue
http://boombox.harley-davidson.com/premium.html

You should have heated grips unless the previous owner changed them, there is a dial at the end of the left grip with numbers on them, 0 being off.

Well, first of all - welcome.

Yep, grips will have a numeric **** if they're heated. Twist to turn on.

Not sure about the iPhone thing, I have a '13 so no Rushmore stuff. Did you get a manual with your bike? Maybe your local dealer can hook you up, or if not, a service manual might be a nice investment.

And you might want to post this in the touring and/or entertainment forums as well - might get more better answers there.

Again, welcome and enjoy that bike!

Don't know. That question never came up when I took my M/C license test in 1967.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum.
You might find some of the answers you need in your owner's manual.

Which version of the Ultra Limited do you have? Edit: There was no Low version for 2014.
The Ultra Limited Low does not have heated grips.
The regular version does

Very ease to tell if you have them though, as you will have rotary dial on the end of the left side grip

The OP didn't list what version of the Ultra Limited he has.
The Ultra Limited Low does not have factory installed heated grips.

Edit to correct my misinformation. There was no "low" version in 2014.
What DanRC mentions is correct.
Now, where is that door again.... LOL

Well crap, see what happens when I don't pay attention. LOL

No, there was not a "Low" version in 2014.

As noted by DanRC, the OP should have heated grips unless someone took them off.

Thank you for the response. I just picked up the bike and by the time i left the dealership, it was late, and I was exhausted. So i didn't get a "how to" to go over the bike. I am going back this weekend for such, but thought i'd play around with it on my own before going down there, looking like a dummy. I'll check the end of the grips to confirm heated or not. Knowing what to look for is a HUGE help.

I don't know if i got the "high" or "low"... i honestly didn't know there was a difference. How can i tell ??
