Default Yet Another H-D (Hmmm, what would I call this one)

I'm shocked.

Riding down the road when I hear a sound under the front of the bike followed by a tire strike.

Looking back, I see a shiny object skipping down the road. Ok, I gotta turn around and go see what has fallen off the scooter.

Yep, it was part of my bike, I'm betting it won't be cheap either.

Chrome surround goes over the oil cooler fell off, this thing is held on by spring clips.

Who in their right mind thought that spring clips would hold anything on a Harley! Especially on the motor down at ground level.

Think I might upgrade to a better oil cooler, one that does not have chrome snapped onto it.

Shoulda got a half dozen sheet metal screws and screwed that mother straight into the oil cooler...that'd hold it...

...or zip ties.
Well, at least it wasn't anything important, like the crank pin. That would really suck.

I ought to straighten it out and put it back on the bike just to spite them.

Or spend serious money having it re-chromed before putting it back on and then spite them.

Hey Wait, this is gonna cost me either way :-)

I like the sheet metal screws idea. think it'l leak.

Just pretend it's 'vintage'..."Not a leak, just marking it's territory."

Did you have to pay extra for a CVO?

You know I did! Pay extra for the CVO...

I tweeked it back into shape, ran it across the buffer wheel, it goes back on the bike today, I figure it might fall off again so, well you get the idea.

Next time I'll bead blast it and paint it black, it'l match the engine better in black anyway.
