Default Mirrors loose help.

So I just did a stage .5 (just exhaust/ flash tune) and while test driving for the first time this season, realised that when I crack the throttle and get on it, my mirrors move. They are getting pushed back against the wind. Upon a quick inspection I didn't see any way to lock down the mirrors position. Has anyone here had that issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-a-mirror.html. I assume you mean the swivel ball behind the mirror head and not the stem.

Isn't there screws on the back of the mirrors?

After posting that, I went and looked at both of my bikes and one has mirrors with screws that you can tighten where the ball is and the other one doesn't so if yours doesn't then you will have to replace like the above poster advised.

Sorry.

Mirrors will either have the 3 small screws or a thin bezel with 2 flats for a wrench so you adjust the tension on them. As they get older the little plastic plug behind that ball on the stem will crush out of shape and you can't tighten them anymore. Now it's new mirror time or have somebody make you a couple like I did.

Adjust the mirrors where you want them and then put a drop of super glue on the ball. it will hold them solid forever. Cheaper than new mirrors.

I have floppy mirrors and it pisses me off. Look in the classified section and you will probably find someone selling almost new takeoffs for cheap.
