Default 2009 FLHX vs 2016 FLTRXS...?

What you guys think?
I'm looking to trade-in my 2009 STREET GLIDE (FLHX) against a brand new 2016 ROAD GLIDE SPECIAL (FLTRXS).
I put almost 20 000$ on my FLHX during the years (Performance and chrome...) The bike has only 25k miles BUT... most important... it is paid!!

So... Considering the trade, I will still have to pay a balance for a new one as you never get your money back on accessories and chrome...

Question is... Would you do it? Rushmore project worth it? New suspension, ABS, GPS? Worth the upgrade?

Merci les gars!

Keep the Street Glide. Or flip a coin.

There's a lot of dealerships that will allow you to rent bikes for a day or weekend (unlimited miles). Best advice is to rent 1 for the weekend and ride the **** out of it then and only then can you make the call whether it's worth it or not.......

2 sides of a coin, Head or Tail. Head- You get to trade your SG in for new RGS or Tail - Forget the RGS and keep your SG that's paid for.

Keep the 09 since it is paid for.
Lots of other things to spend $$$$$$ on other than motorcycle ****.
However if you have everything you want in life and have no need for home upgrades or taking your woman on trips or what ever, then get the RG.
What really is it you want us to tell you?
You're the one that sells yourself, not us.....

I agree with the poster that advised renting the new bike. One of the guys I ride with traded an 09 SG for a 15 SGS. He swears up and down that his new bike is much better than his old one . I have never ridden a pre-2014 SG so I don't know how much of a difference there is.

I've got a policy on buying, selling, or trading a vehicle. If I decide I want to do it, I wait six months before I do it. At the end of the six months if I still want to, I do it. If at any time during the six months I change my mind the six month waiting period will have to start all over if I later get the itch again. I've done this for many years and have stuck with it with only a couple of exceptions. I tend to keep vehicles and bikes for a long time once I bring them home. On a side note, I've kept this wife for over thirty years. The six month wait period on her has started up a few times over the years.
