Yeah, I'm just venting.
So, my sportster need new tires. I order the tires from the dealer and get my standard 10% HOG discount and then talk to service for installation. The service guy says no problem installing tires via walk-in service. Tires come in and I take off work early to get them installed. Service guy says all lifts are full, can I leave it overnight? I said no I can't, but I can go get a refund for the purchased tires.
Parts guy refunds my money (parts guy is a friend and is very apologetic) and another parts guy says let him talk to service. Comes back and says no can do. I thanked him and head back home.
On the way I decide to head up to the next closest dealer. I go to the other dealer and he sets me up with a confirmed appt, tires are in stock and I don't have to pay for the tires ahead of time. And, they are having a tire sale, so I get 20% off the tires!
So, it all ended well, from my point of view. Of course, I'm still miffed at the first dealer's service guy. Wouldn't be a problem at all except I happen to hold an appointed position in their sponsored HOG chapter. But, that may change, too.
Yeah, I know, first world problem. All is good.
