Default Antigravity XP-1 Micro Start Worth Every Dime

I bought my 2002 Softail Standard 5 years ago and the guy I bought it from had just installed a new battery. I forget who made it but 5 years later it's still ticking and I keep it on a tender at all times in the garage as well. I knew I was on borrowed time and sure as hell I got the dreaded "Click, click" on Rt 1 in Ormond Beach, Fl during bike week. Luckily, I had bought an Antigravity XP-1 micro start battery jumper and kept in my handlebar bag. Within minutes I had the seat off and XP-1 hooked up and fired off the bike with zero problems.

I never leave home on either of my bikes or any vehicle without this thing. Just a positive review from a satisfied customer.

No need to take the seat off, just hook it up to the starter +post.
Or, buy the pigtail they sell for the XP-1.
BTW, that pigtail will work on all of the charges that I have seen, they
all have the same connector.

Wasn't aware of that, thanks for the scoop.

Do the micro start jumper units need to have a battery tender connected also? (to prevent discharging over time . . . )

Thanks,
John

Not to my knowledge. Doesn't mention it in any literature that came with it. Mine was fully charged for almost 4 months before I jumped the bike and it still shows a full charge.

I have two. One for my Heritage and one in my Silverado. I bought my first one at Lowes one day when the Heritage decided that was the day for the battery to croak. The thing works.

They are Lithium Batteries with a high current diode hookup failsafe block. I top my off once a month or if the check. if it's light is down one bar.

I installed a charge boost jack for quick access for the charger and boost. Will do some photo's and post.

I have the XP3 and have used it on a couple of bikes and some atv's. Worked good. I'm not sure about it cranking over V8's though. I tried it on the starter battery on my boat with a V6 and it cranked a few times then the cables on the xp3 got super hot so I unhooked it. I then hooked up my trusty jump starter battery I got from autozone and it turned it over no problem till it fired.

I have the XP-10 and have used it to jump one of my tractors. It worked like a charm.

I agree and highly recommend the pigtail.

Antigravity makes TWO battery pigtails. One for the XP-1, XP-3 and XP-5 and a different one for the XP-10. Why they do this I have absolutely no clue.

No. The jump starter comes with an AC charger. The jump starter will hold a charge for months. It is recommended to check the charge every few months and charge it if necessary.
