Amazing...
I only got my '93 Ultra Classic just one month ago. I was able to sneak in a few quick rides, about 50 miles total during some short breaks in the weather, but then dropped it off at the local Dealer (Dillon Brothers) where it stayed for the last two weeks. I told them it looks like new, I want it mechanically to be like new also. They did an awesome job and I can definitely feel the differences on it before and after. I got it back last night, but not in time to get it registered, so it sat in the garage another day. Finally, tonight, it all came together. New plates, new Sena 20S with remote and another gorgeous day.
I loaded up some Bob Segar on the phone and started west out of Omaha. I didn't plan on riding long, but I had the entire highway to myself for most of the time, the moon was directly ahead of me and the music was loud and crystal clear. I went 60 miles before I realized it and thought I better head back.
The 23 year old Evo purred...I mean that, it sounded phenomenal! Everything about the bike was flawless, I could comfortably set the cruise and remove either hand from the bars without concern. Shifting was crisp and everything about the bike was like this is how its supposed to be.
I've ridden a lot of bikes in my life, but this is my first HD. I know now what you all have known all this time. My only regrets so far is that I didn't do this years ago!
I very, very much look forward to the next time I roll out of the garage. Matter of fact, it might be in the next few minutes
Peace always....

lol, I actually thought about getting a photo of the bike with the long stretch of highway and moon in the background, but then I would have had to stop to do it. So I didn't
Thanks for the replies all. I really hope to ride a few miles with a few of you someday!
