Parts Heaven?

Parts Heaven?
Recently i traded my Superglide on a new Heritage. All is good and i got what i think was a decent deal. Only thing in all the excitment i realised i was never offered any of the parts that were taken off and replaced with upgrades. Some were dealer installed before i purchased the Heritage. I paid for them as they were on the bike and upgrades. Should'nt i at least be offered these parts and all the stock ones that i replaced? So i call the dealer and ask about this the answer was " we will try to find them". Is there some mysterious parts heaven im not aware of or am i wrong to ask for these parts? One more thing what the heck they want them for? What do they do with them?

Most dealers have a sign up saying they'll hold parts for 7 days. If you want them you should tell them when they mod the bike. I dunno, some people put stock things back on when they sell their bike, others go to a swap meet and try to get a few bucks or sell them on Ebay.
I bet most of us have parts gathering dust in our garages and sheds. Bikers Inc in Ft Lauderdale will pay a few cents on the dollar for parts.

He did mention that he called and asked...I think he was just trying to confirm he was not out of line in his way of thinking.
