Progressive Monotube 31-2500 Question
Anyone that has installed a set of these in 2009-2013 Touring model. The directions say I will reuse some internal component? This kit looks complete, like I would only reuse the bottom piston bolt. I will get the instructions out again and list what part they are saying I would reuse. Anyway fork tubes are empty, and thought I put the two spacers above top spring on the monotube, then put the bottoming spring on the monotube, put the monotube in the fork leg, screw in the bottom piston bolt, put in 5oz of fork oil, cycle shocks a few times, screw fork tube caps on, and install legs on bike. Am I missing something? Another question: Harley doesn't put a weight on their fork oil. Progressive instructions says 10W. HD sold me their "B" saying it is between 10W and 15W. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks, Bill

Progressive MonoTubes
Built new forks with Monotubes. Both fork tubes and lowers.
Safe bet to go with the Harley fork rebuild kit - has most of the washers and bushing plus other miscellany.
Tip - put grease on it to hold it in place.
Of course copper washers for the bolts.
Check out Ronnie's Online Microfiche Part Finder for your model. It will show you everything you need.
