Getting new cables, Barnett or Magnum?
I'm changing to different bars and I'll need new cables and brake line.(2009 FXD)
Plan is to upgrade to braided classic chrome color or stainless.
I've never used anything but stock cables so I'm clueless about what's good or better??
Any advice/experience good or bad with either the Barnett or Magnum brands?
It's going to be $300+/-, so I'd like to make the right choice the first time.
Thanks in advance,, John

I've never tried Barnett but a couple years ago used the Magnum "build your own" brake line and fittings and through misadventure promptly boiled my freshly changed brake fluid and warped my brand new rotor. The Magnum stuff stood up and still looks and works like it should. The fittings I really like, shiny and well made.

Can only speak for Magnum since the bike I bought had them installed by the previous owner. They look great and have a nice coating on them. I had to lube up the clutch cable with dri-slide when I got the bike and it reduced the clutch pull weight by quite a bit. They claim to be pre-lubed, but they'll still need something more.
Bike only had 1800mi when I bought it so the cables weren't on there long before I purchased.
