Default J&P Cycles Update

There's been a lot of discussion of the order backlog at J&P Cycles, with the resulting frustration of long delivery times.

Wanted to report on my recent experience.

More out of curiosity than anything else, I decided to order a few parts to see how it went. I placed my order on Monday, 3/28 and my parts arrived today, 3/31.

Couldn't have gone any smoother.

Good to hear. They acknowledged that they were having a problem with the transition. I've been dealing with them for too many years to believe that they wouldn't make a huge effort to correct the situation.

Default My Experience

I placed an order on March 8. Part of it arrived on March 11 and I'm still waiting for the rest of it. I don't why it was split up, the items were all similar.

Overall I have had good dealings with them. Once I got jerked around a little on a delivery. I lived. Seem like good people.

Similarity of the items has nothing to do with availability.

Their "adjustment" wont hold me back...gonna order a buncha stuff next week...they've always been great in the past. Since I'm in small business myself, I know sometimes a move/relocation/big internal change can cause a few ripples for a short period of time. I'm sure they're sorting things out.

I just ordered two tires today. The price was good, no shipping or sales tax charges. They say the tires are in stock. I'll let you know how long they take to get here.

As a side note, Harley sells the same tires for a hundred bucks more a piece. Does anyone really buy them direct from Harley Davidson?

Personally, there will always be good reports and bad reports about various businesses but as far as I am concerned, when I've dealt with them they've always been square with me so I will continue to buy from them. If I ever have a problem with something, I will work it out with them on a one to one basis.

I buy from them too but sometimes I find better pricing at Dennis Kirk. Both are great companies to buy from.

They were following the other thread.

They knew what to do with your order.
