Default First ride of the year...

It has been a fairly mild winter in Toronto. I have seen bikes out all winter long. I had my bike in storage. Got it back yesterday. First ride was great! Took it home. Installed Keystone auxiliary LEDs, installed a Laydown LED tail light, installed a Smart Siren II. Back out I went. 8 degrees celsius. Sun was out...kind of. All in all a great day.

Woke up this morning...snowing...Sometimes you have to wonder...lol

I honestly don't know how anyone can have a bike in where winter is 3-5 months long. It's like paying for a house and not using it 3-5 months. Good for those who can put up with it...I couldn't.

Phil,we haven't been on our bikes since early Oct and the only reason we rode that long was because my wife bought a new 15 fatboy and wanted to get at least to 1600 kms for the first service.Every time I open the garage all winter to use my snowblower I see 2 nice bikes just sitting there, living in the Maritimes,it's just par for the course,we might get them out by the end of the month, the temps start to get a bit warmer.

But we can park our bikes and jump right onto our snowmobiles.

I winter stored a Transam for 19 years, now bikes for 10 years. Every spring it is like a new bike or car for me.

Couple inches last night but melting already. Town highway dept laid down so much salt riding is out for another week or two until heavy rains wash that down
