Default Harley Drags at State Capital Raceway

Went out to the Harley Drags at State Capital raceway in Baton rouge ,Louisiana yesterday. Lots of beautiful drag harleys out there, not a whole lot of spectators or bikes for the "bike show" oh well. Thought I would share some photos.

Well there were several classes, the nitro funny bikes were only running 1/8 mile due to high winds but they were hitting 160-170mph in the 1/8! the dressers were all mid 10's low 11's! they were bad a$$!

The shovel was my buddy's bike. He just bought the bike and this was his first time taking it out. he was hitting low 11's which I thought was a great first day on the bike but I think he was disappointed. He really couldn't get the bike to launch for ****. He said " if I could just get it to hook up and go straight" I just laughed and said that's pretty much drag racing in a nut shell!

I think he will be able to get in the 10's with some practice, that bike has run 9's with another, extremely talented and much smaller rider. Running a bike that powerful is a steep learning curve, he'll get it.
