Talking Another Ape post

Well I mounted up on my Deluxe some 14'' Carlini gangsters. I had to use some pullback risers for a FXD to get them just right for my stubby arms. Now here it what I learned after a few hundred miles. Most of this seems weird and unexpected. This is now a completly different bike. It turns better, the front end feels lighter. It feels like a mini bike compared to stocker. My lean angles have improved.Entry into the corner is better, exit is better, it just seems to carve right through.Even slow parking lot turns are better, different forsure but better. The bike is a 200 pounds lighter.Weird, yup but it sure feels that way.Comfort level a 10. I didnt realize it could feel so much better.I took a reg. chick for a ride yesterday and she could even feel it. She said it felt llike we were in the zone again, kinda like one with the bike. The bike even seems to run better, weird I know right. And last but not least, the ol bare bones seat feels better on the ***.

C'mon, you know they are only for looks -- well that's what half the people on this site say. Ron 😱

Nice review. I too have gone to taller bars to help the ride. I am long waisted with long arms so taller bars are the way to go for me.

That's great news! We did the same thing to my wife's 08 Deluxe. Put 12" Wild One's on 2" pull back risers. She said it feels like the bike has power steering. That was 7 years and 70K ago. She still feels the same way.

Glad to hear a post from an actual user instead of somebody just guessing how they might feel and passing on bad info. I've been running 16"s on my Springer for years and I'll never go back and I'm 65 and they feel great to this old body, hahaha

Clearly you have not read the threads.....
There is an amazing abunuance of input from people who have never owned, let alone ridden a motorcycle with apes, who give entirely opposite reviews. Jeez.
Try to keep up! Lol. 😄
