Default Bike hauling question

OK, this is probably a dumb question but i was wondering what the cheapest way would be to get a bike from someones house to mine? I don't have a trailer hitch on my car so I am guessing I would have to rent a moving truck or something but wanted to check if there was a better option.

A friend of mine has an old Honda Shadow that has been sitting in her garage for 8 years and I figured it would be a good project for me to tear apart and learn about fixing some things without me screwing up my good bike. Especially since she is giving it to me for nothing.

Thanks.

U-haul has a bike trailer, they can probably fix you up with a temporary hitch also. Give them a call and ask.

Yep, what he said.

Or, just borrow a friends pickup truck and toss it in the back.

Good luck!

Home Depot Truck Rental - by the hour. Have a trailer hitch too.

U Haul has a MC specific trailer. Cheap cost. Ramp.

Go to a used car lot and look for a cargo van or pick up truck. Ask to take it for a test ride and to your mechanic for a quick check up. Go get your bike and then bring the truck back. Tell the salesman you'll think about it. I did that in pinch a few years ago. It worked for me.

I was going to say "just throw it in the truck" but just joking.
