Default Chippewa Rally Boots

In the market for new boots, and I see that Cabela's is now carrying these boots. I have enough gift cards that I can get them for free. Almost every review I read says they are the greatest motorcycle boot ever in some form or another. Problem is, I'm not sure that I love the looks of them. Particularly the tan part of the sole/heel. Does anyone have these boots that are broken in and worn that might be able to post some pics? I feel like they will probably look better once they develop a little "character". I can likely also get past the looks if they truly are as awesome as everyone says. The boot is #27862. Can't figure out how to post a link from my phone. Thanks.

....they look like something a motorcycle cop would wear (not bad at all), but I do agree with you on the sole. they'd look much better were they all black.

That tan looks like the edge of the leather where it is sewn to the sole. A little black boot dye or boot polish will fix that. I don't own those particular boots.

I can't speak of the Rally boot, but I have Chippewa 9" Loggers for riding(2yrs now) and Chippewa 6" steel toes for work boots.
I'm happy with the quality of Chippewa.
Get a size that fit's out of the box,, don't count on "break in" to make them better. (that's true with any footwear)

I use the Red Wing 218 logger boots but if I would have had gift cards to get these with I would have done that for sure. I don't think you can go wrong with these and the natural leather in the soles is not a bad thing either.

I have a pair of Chippewa engineering boots with the steel toes. I like them a lot. Made in the USA too.

Chippewa boots are well made and made in the USA. I have the engineer boot but the Rally has a very good rep. You can always dye the sole edge or whatever you don't like. Free is a good price. I got my Chippewas free on Amazon when I went to buy them and was notified that I had enough points with Am Express to get them free. I didn't even know I had any points because I had not used the AX in over a year.

Their aesthetic is the least of my concern about the boots. I require a completely waterproof boot.
