My bride and I took a nice ride from Tucson up to Glendale (northwest of Phoenix), to attend Bikefest Arizona 2016 and had a blast!. Never saw so many great bikes in one venue (no I have not gotten to Sturgis yet...).

Lots of vendors selling any and everything related to bikes. I picked up a nice leather vest and a few patches (my favorite being: Are we going to ride or just dick around all day?" My bride added a couple of very nice Harley Tee shirts to her collection.

One of the more interesting features is the "Ride through" Saloon. Barriers are set up down the middle of the saloon tent and everyone can ride through the bar gathering hoots and high fives from the patrons. There is a sign at the entrance that reads: "No wheelies or burns outs, don't be that guy" but you can make all the noise you want and the acoustics of the tent seemed to help in that regard.



For a couple of senior citizens it was one seriously fun day and nice 256 mile roundtrip with near perfect weather.

We were there until about 11 last night. All I can say is that I have a terrible hangover this morning.

 

I remember doing that at Froggys in Daytona back in the 80's, they even let you do a burnout. Hell, it was encouraged.
