Default 2007 street bob newbie (not yet bought)

hi there all, great joining this forum. Let me intro and also allow me to pose some questions , Name is James and am from Singapore, somewhere in South east asia. From young ridng had this impression riding a HD is like the epitome of motorcyling. I had ridden a shadow ace 1100, varadero, stx1300 and super tenere and love the reliability of all these Jap bikes. Just saw a 2007 street bob with front mod to fat bob. kinda felt in love with it yesterday. seller is willing to let if off for USD7000. Don't get pissed guys, but my concern is, can i have tat reliability to use for work daily? 30 mile ride in heavy traffic to and back. The bike has a thundermax ecu and two brothers pipe. The pipes will have to go if i do buy it as its deemed illegal here. The seller do have the originals pipes. it also is oil cooled. Had the impression that HDs are air cooled. The only issue with the bike has now is the side stand spring is missing and the battery box strap fastener broke. The seller has ordered both the items. Its has progressive rear suspensions and front forks rebuilt. Seller claimed its abs , but i pretty doubt so. Opinions needed

1. It is air cooled. The oil cooler is an add on to try and maintain oil temperature in the proper range. It is a good thing to have in hot climates with heavy traffic, but it does not come close to a liquid cooled bike.

2. I seriously doubt that a 2007 Bob has ABS. Especially with some front end swap. If you do not know how to determine if any bike, especially one you are about to buy is equipped with ABS you haven't done enough research. Do a search on how to determine if a Harley has ABS.

3. It is way down the list for a bike I would want to commute with in heavy traffic. For that assignment take a look at a Honda CBR650FA light, narrow, really liquid cooled, much quicker than the Bob, and ABS.

You can always test if it has ABS by test riding it. Or, do all the ABS bikes have the small cylinder in front of the engine?

ABS was first available on Street Bob in 2012. So the one in question does NOT have ABS.
