Default New Dyna left me stranded.

Less than 1000 miles and she crapped out on me.

Going down the road, everything is fine and it just shuts off and the the oil light goes on. Coast into a parking lot, check oil which is fine and then try to fire it up again, nothing.
Notice oil light is still on. Try a few more times and nothing, doesn't even try to turn over. Acts like the ignition switch is off.

Called a tow truck and they towed me home.
Great way to end the day!!

Mother F'er!!!! I feel your pain cause I have been there. Heck, I have dumped vehicles the next day for that kind of sheet. I'm not the Dyna expert, but my money is on the ignition switch. Cheap fix if I am right. Hope it works out!
Shiny side up, till then.

Gonna guess key switch. Same thing happened to my FXDL. Oil light being on isn't a problem, it'll be on whenever the engine's off because there's no oil pressure.

Same thing happened to me. I guess when "they" assembled the ignition switch there was a faulty connection...the dealer used a shim to make the connection work and get me home. I'm going to pull it all off and really take a look. I'm sure I can search the forum and see how to actually fix it.

It's enough to P.O. the Pope but just be glad that it's not serious and you're not physically injured!

Any vehicle can breakdown at anytime so that's what cell phones, road service and credit cards are made for.

Sorry about your luck but you'll be back in the saddle before you know it.

Well it starts now!! Maybe an intermittent connection somewhere and the tow wiggled something back into place. Going to look around and see if I see anything obvious before I haul it to the dealership.
