Default Low Mileage Record?

You'd have to think there is a story behind how the bike can have so few miles.

"hasn't seen the road in a while"

I know of a '94 Sporty and a '83 Low Rider that have sat untouched since they came home from the dealers. Both have less than 50 miles on them.

Maybe they got it from someone that lives in Nome Alaska.

I will never understand why people do this. I mean, I know WHY it happens (never learned to ride, have too many toys, too busy with work and family..etc) but not why people would make the purchase in the first place other than status symbols or mid life crisis.

And, why it took him 14 years to realize this was just collecting dust in his garage.

he says its been a while since he gave it a "good ride"???? 400 miles total. Sounds like he never gave it a good ride.

Probably always planned on riding and never did. "This will be the year I go to Sturgis"

It would be interesting to hear from the new owner about what issues they face due to it sitting so long.

We read the posts about potential issues: rotten gaskets, rotted tires, stale fluids but this is a real example. Maybe the engine/trans won't leak. 2 new tired and fresh liquids and it's ready to go?
