Watch Your Six!
Had a teenage driver nearly run me over while I was sitting in traffic waitng for the dump truck in front of me to turn left. When the dump truck started to turn left, I looked to the right to see the bumper and driver's side bumper come to a stop only inches from my bike.
I shouted to the driver "WHAT THE F*(# ARE YOU DOING?!!!!" to which he responded "Sorry"
Believe it or not there was a cell phone in his hand........
Close call for my daughter and I.

Bad day and age to ride Motorcycles thats for sure. and its only getting worse! The kids are getting dumber, lazier, and could give two sh$ts less about anything but there social life. Texting and driving everywhere. Truck drivers with the younger generation driving are crazy dangerous on the interstate. I couldn't tell you how many times if i was on a bike instead of in my car id be dead. People just don't give a crap. I try and ride mainly back roads away from traffic as much as possible. But even then an idiot can come around a blind sharp turn and take you out. Stay safe.

I am firm belief that anyone that drives over the age of (let's say) 70 should have to retake their drivers license test yearly. I think that would cut down on old people running people over. I'm not saying that all old people are reckless but I know some that are. (My 90 year old grandpa included )
Something we can all agree on is that driving impaired, distracted, or just being stupid is a HUGE FN PROBLEM. Especially for us on 2 wheels.

One of my pet peeves is when they're cutting that double yellow line coming round the corner. I'll make them #1 every time that happens, regardless who's driving. One time it was one of my customers and he quit coming in to my shop, boo hoo. Too bad, it would have been a fun conversation, and his kid even rides.

this is the new unfortunate reality, most of the younger generation that phone is the most important thing in their life and is like the whole world better stop turning when they are using that stupid phone. glad that nothing bad happened.

Rear Ended
Fortunately I was in a car when I was rear ended.
Eight in the morning on a bone dry day in a school zone - 15 mph zone. Two lanes in each direction. Vehicle in front of me stops to make a left turn. I stop. Several seconds later I hear the screeching tires. I look into my mirror and then get hit with enough force to move me at least one car length.
Young woman was on the phone before she exits her vehicle. DC's finest arrive and asks if anyone is hurt and if both cars are drivable. My original conclusion was that nobody was hurt and both cars drivable. Based on that, officer says no police report.
I change my conclusion. Her car not drivable because both of her airbags deployed and there was a pool of antifreeze under her car. Officer writes the report.
The insurance adjuster told me that she drove her car to the body shop. She was a dope on so many levels.
