Default New brake line 'problem'

I just changed my rear brake line after installing forward controls. They are standard SS braided lines with AN #3 fittings on each end. My problem is that they 'sweat' fluid. I can't say they leak, but if I run my finger over the fittings after a ride there is a light film on them. I'm afraid of over tightening them.
Anyone out there with any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like leaking to me. Possible reason: standard automotive flares are 45 degree, AN flares are 37 degree. The 2 are not fully compatible. Not 100% sure if the HD flares are 45 degree but I'm guessing yes.

Thanks for the reply. The whole system is AN, from the banjo fittings on both ends to the brake switch box in the middle and all for line fittings. All from the same manufacturer...

Maybe just needs to be a bit tighter?

Undo fittings and clean threads with alcohol and apply a teflon thread sealer or teflon tape and reinstall.

AN fittings should not need any type of sealant.

WHAT?!?!

NEVER USE TEFLON ON BRAKE COMPONENTS! Or any other sealing compounds!

Who is the manufacturer of your brake lines?
I have AN fittings throughout on my drag race car with SS braid flex lines at the wheels. Personally, I go with the absolute best available for brake stuff. I'll never use anything that is rebranded or cheap. And always use the same manufacturer for fittings that join one another. No sealant EVER needs to be applied to an AN fitting. If it leaks, it's because of a defect, either with manufacturing or user damage.

I try to stick with Earl's (the best in my experience), Areoquip, Fragola and sometimes Russell.

There's really nothing "harley specific about any of the brake line stuff. You can get everything you need from a place such as Summit Racing, The Chassis Shop, Jegs, etc.
