Default Temp Registration?

Hey All,

I recently purchased a new-to-me '15 street Bob from a private sale. Bike was financed through HD financial. It was paid off and HD said they can't send out the title to my bank( I'm financing some of it) for 10-14 biz days which could be 3 weeks. From what I was told once my bank gets the title, I can then get it and go register the bike. Is there any way around having to wait for the title to register it and ride? I'm in CT and the dmv website doesn't say much.

In some states a notarized bill of sale and proof of insurance is all you need.

Did you finance it or pay cash? If you financed it, your lender should be taking care of that. If you paid cash, you will need to wait for the title.

If you owe the bank anything they're not going to give you the title.

I financed half of it so yeah the title is being sent to my bank. So they get the title, I come get it, take it to the dmv and register it. Dmv then sends new title to bank. I was just wondering if I could get a temp reg while waiting. I have a bill of sale and insurance.

So why aren't you calling your local DMV and ask them?

I tried. After being on the phone on hold for 30 minutes I had to get off.
