Bike is a 1995 wideglide pipes are straight shot staggered vance and hines . the mounting bar broke, i ordered a new one from vance and hine the part number matches the bar they sent me but it dont fit my bike and is not the same as the one i have. they are stumped at the moment.

can anyone help as to what the bar i have ? thank

Are you sure those are V & H short shots? They don't look like it to me, but I'm not an expert.

Oops, my bad, I misread them as short shots instead of straight shots.

I am pretty sure they are straight shots stagger. The guys at V&H don`t know what my mounting bracket is. But the one they sent me does not mount to the tranny. I don`t know whats going on. Hopefully some one will recognize the mounting bar that is cracked. thanks

 

Dunno what the new one fits but any decent welding shop can slug it and repair yours easy, may the route of least problem.

Well, for Closure so other people doing a search about this in the future.

Turns out the mounting bar they send is correct afte all. it is on the bike. Not until i pulled the mufflers, then i was able to line up the bracket on the tranny and it mounts with 3 bolts from the tranny housing not 2 like the old bracket.

I am a little disappointed with Vance and Hines because i was on the phone with 3 techs over 2 days . And nobody actually new that it was redesigned over the original exhaust system. and it mounted a different than the old one. And they said they never seen mine before. well mine is 21 years old so i understand that but i`m surprised nobody said the the new one superseded the old one. no instructions come with the bar either. I hope this help the next guy going through this. Thanks
