Unhappy Oil Change

Hey y'all I am in need of some help with my bike ..... I need to change the oil ..... it is a Harley Davidson 2006 Screaming Eagle 103 Fat Boy....and I do believe that it is a three plug drain but I am unable to get all of my oil out of my reservoir tank under the seat....what am I not seeing or doing correctly....Please help asap I want to get back out on the road and ride.....Cindy

Welcome to the forums. Have you purchased a service manual? If not, I would do so. The 60.00 will prevent you from spending far more on repairs down the road.

Also, there are step by step instructions for service and maintenance in it.

We need to know what you ARE doing before we can tell you what you AREN'T doing. What you should be doing is getting the engine warm, pulling the dipstick (so the oil tank can vent), pulling the drain plug, and letting it drain. Once it starts dripping, get on the bike and stand it up, maybe rock it side to side a bit, to get more of the oil out. The only way you'll get all the oil is by splitting the engine cases. And this is all assuming you've got the correct drain plug.
