Default Tires for Road King

Just picked up a 2001 Road King after years of no bike and need new tires. I always used Dunlops on my old bikes years ago so that's what I was looking at. New they don't seem to have much tread depth to the ones the shop was recomending. What are people using now? Should I be looking at another brand?

I always use Dunlops.
I put a new set on the '03 RK two years ago and a set of WWW's on my Heritage Springer the same day.
New tires, tubs and rub strips, mounted, balanced and OTD (tax included) for about $425 per bike.

I'm not sure if it's new tire design, size or what, but the newer bikes seem to get much better (double) the tire mileage than the older ones, both using Dunlops.

Gotta get at least one tire on my wife's Heritage (due to age) and it'll be a Dunlop too.

I use the OEM type Dunlops on my Road King. I don't know if they're the absolute best tire out there but they have worked well on my bike. I take the wheels to a local indy, buy the tires there, and have him mount them.

Jakewilson.com. They will be on your porch in 2 days. Half the price you'll pay from Harley.

I have Dunlop Elite 3s on my 04 Road King. I like them. I think for my next set I will try the Dunlop American Elites as they are now making them in sizes for our "older" touring bikes. Jake Wilson has the best prices I've found.
