Heritage softail classic or super glide.

I meant CAMS by the way not cans. Like others have said, the softail may or may not have that harmonic buzz coming through the bars at interstate speed... Depends...Nothing wrong with a Dyna... I loved my 02 FXDP , it went like ascalded cat but you have to get what is best for you...The Softail might be too laid back for you...The Dyna is more (Ride on the bike), the Softail is more (Ride in the bike).
Either bike will let you cruise at 80MPH no problem...They are a blast.

I just rode my buddy's 2003 Heritage tonight and I was stuck by just how fun it was to cruise around low & slow. I'm usually going faster into the corners and a bit more peppy on my '11 Road Glide. If you are just cruising, the softail is a sweet ride but coming from a sport bike and hitting the twisties head on, you can't beat an FX bike.

Neither bike will get to 80 anything near your sportbikes, but the Dyna will outrun the Heritage, and both will outrun a standard passenger car.
The heritage will be more comfortable for both rider and passenger.
Personally? I'd choose the Heritage - I prefer the counter-balanced engine, the lower seating position, and the more touring aspect. However, given the information you've provided - coming from a sportbike, shorter rides, etc. - I think you'd probably be happier on the Dyna.

The Dyna will be more like a sport bike. I like the price and miles of the Heritage. Can't go wrong with either.
Don't be intimidated you will adjust rapidly to either. Both are priced low enough that they will hold their value. You can ride it for a couple of years and get most of your investment back. If your like most of us after a couple years you'll know what really suits you and trade up.

More than the Dyna? Probably a wash based on the two you've mentioned.

I have a Heritage and really enjoy it. Even if you are a good rider, if you live in the mountains you will scrape the floorboards on occasion. I chose the Heritage based on classic styling and everyday usage.
But now I kind of wish I had gone Road King based on more floor board clearance, hard bags, and you still have classic looks. But I am a daily rider in all weather conditions so the leather bags probably aren't the best option and for that matter neither are laced wheels.
