Default Quick Exhaust Install Help!

Hey Everyone, I'm trying to remove my old exhaust on my 2015 Street Bob to install my big shots. I'm confused on what to do with the following clamp. Do I remove just the bolt, pull exhaust out the clamp and leave the whole assembly there, or remove the entire clamp assembly? The instructions or videos I've watched don't address this.

Remove the bolt & leave the clamp on the pipe. A little WD40 on the nut will make it easier to remove.

The new exhaust should come with the necessary hardware to install it. Do you have the instructions or are you able to download them?

What I should have said, is once the clamp/pipe is off, that metal plate on the engine cover where the clamp and bolt were attached stays?

I have them, just don't see them mention it.

That thing is a pain in the *** to get off the bike with the engine mounted in the frame. If the new exhaust has hardware to use it, then I would go ahead and use it. If not, then check to make sure the exhaust doesn't hit it and ignore it after the install.

The clamp comes off of course,, that plate is un-used by the Big Shots.
Getting that plate off the engine is a PITA and most folks just leave it.
I'll take it off my engine someday but it's going to require lifting the engine off the mounts just to get a T27 angled wrench in there.
You will know it's there but other people don't notice it.

When you install the Big Shot's follow the manuals torque sequence and values for the flange bolts,, the most common mistake is over tightening.

Take it off if you don't need it. Or leave it on if it doesn't interfere.
