The popular belief is that a Harley will melt when ridden in the rain has been proven to be false already.

This!

Riding in the rain keeps the engine cooler and is the BEST way to clean bug guts off my windshield!!!

Nah. Just suck it up and ride. Riders generally don't melt in the rain ,either.

Arriving at someones house, resturant or other destination soaking wet is not fun either. I will use the rain gear over being wet and cold. Yeah, I have ridden through rain showers and dried off. Then I have also ridden for days in down pours.

Got a tropical storm hammering the low country of SC. Lot's of areas under water, no HD is amphibious so no riding down there this weekend. Hope it holds south and doesn't interfere with Rolling Thunder in DC.

I can ride in the rain but sure isn't my favorite. Lots of bikes traveling in the rain up here in Mt
