Default How to Sell a "High Milage" Motorcycle

I've got a 2008 FXDF with 63,225 miles (an average 7550 or so per year).
I'm the original owner and only rider. I've done all it's required maintenance and kept excellent records.
It's on the local Craigslist for $7750 (without the mileage listed).
I've had a couple responses because the price seems right but no action when I text back the mileage.
The dealer offered 5k with @ 1k as a tax incentive on a new FLS. I'd rather sell it to a private owner.

It seems like "high mileage" is viewed as a liability!
Do Harley's wear out or is it because most every body else hardly ever rides their bike?
The market always seems flooded with garage queens!

Should I list the mileage with some kind of explanation or qualifier of some kind.
Why do I feel the need to have to justify the fact that I've properly enjoyed my motorcycle!
I just don't know how to go about this. Any advise would be appreciated.

Request no texting in your listing. It's been my experience that texters are often tire kickers that waste your time. If a perspective buyer is truly interested in purchasing your bike they won't mind speaking to you on the phone.

I personally wouldn't consider a harley above 15k miles - regardless of age. I put 7-8k a year on myself (wisconsin) and the availability of bikes with low miles, im talking 4-12k, is huge. Around here, that bike wouldn't move for your price, you'd have to drop it SIGNIFICANTLY to properly line-up with the supply and demand around here.

I know the argument, a properly maintained motorcycle will last 100k!

People have a tendency to overestimate the market value of their personal possessions, when my bike becomes high mileage, I won't be one of them.

Way too many low mileage bikes out there for you to get your asking price...you may have a hard time beating the dealers offer.

Keep it or trade it in. To sell out right your only getting 5-6k for it..

That too. My bike has 100,717 miles and even though the motor only has 25,000 miles, I think my best bet would be to trade it in whenever I decide to get rid of it.

Makes me miss my BMW, at 100,000 miles they are just broken in.

You can always go buy another one.

There is never a need to "miss" anything.
