Anyone tried or know anything about the no name staggered short shots sold on eBay from ACM? They are made in Taiwan and are around 249.00 for look a like Vance and Hines short shots.

I'm looking to get black coated pipes for my Sportster 48, but not looking to spend the 400-500.00 for them.

Yep, that's what I figured too, but wanted to see if anyone took the risk and bought them.

 

I had checked on those exact pipes about two months ago. Email them directly (not through eBay). They will give you an even better price. In the end I went with Samson pipes so I can't speak of the quality of the pipes.

I have the hell raiders on my sportster. I really like them. Easy to install and has a really deep tone to them if that is what you're looking for. They got descent volume to them but I wouldn't consider them extremely loud.

Again watch eBay. Got mine brand new for $377

 

Get the chrome short shots and some high temp BBQ paint. Save a hundo and get something that isn't pure ****.

 

I found some V&H black shortshots on cycle direct website for 399.00 with a 20.00 coupon so I got them for 379.00 new...not too shabby!

 

beware of anything that you buy from ACM. if it works and you have no problems, then all is good. but if you have any kind of issue, their customer service is known for turning everything around on you. even going so far as to call you 'third grade dropouts, idiots, or even terrorists'.

 

Yes I heard about American Classic Motors being bad, but this is a different company, it's called Cycle Direct Parts. They don't sound like the other creeps. I let you guys know how it turns out when I get them.
