Paint Chips in Your Tanks

Years ago I sold my old shovelhead lowrider to my brother and later on he had a guy re-do the tank lining.
Worked great until they started putting ethanol into gas. It eventually started coming off in patches and ended up clogging the petcock filter every time he went out on it.
Took the tanks off and put a short piece of 3/8"chain in there and just keep turning it around and letting the chain slide around in it until we got 99% of the old liner out.
Went back with this stuff and no more problems..

I am going to assume he meant paint chips on his tank. In this case get some of the paint colour and using a small brush just dab it in the paint chip. leave the bubble in the paint it will sink in on it's own. Let it dry and if needed do another coat. After dry sand carefully with 3000 sandpaper and a small level block. The block could be as simple as a bottle cap so you sand just the small bubble of paint you left. Then polish with a polishing compound and wax. If you do it carefully those chips should almost be invisible.
