Non Driving Idiot....
So I went out yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather and to get some seat time on my brand new SGS, which I haven't even made the first payment on...and a guy driving a minivan equipped WITH A BACKUP CAMERA AND SENSORS proceeds to back into me while I'm sitting on the bike in a completely empty parking lot. Bike falls over, pins my leg, and rashes up both bags, crash guard, BRAND new V&H pipes and other chrome bits.
HD says damage is $3700....his insurance is Erie...anyone have any experience in dealing with them?
Rant over....:icon_ran t:

Glad your ok!
similar thing happened to me two years ago...went in for a quick coffee and i came out and my rocker was six inches shorter and on its side on the sidewalk.
Nice lady with a grand cherokee said she didnt see it until too late...
She was a nice person who made a mistake, very sorry and told me her husband rode...
They paid cash for the repair, about 2k, no questions or hassles.
Very nice to meet sincere honest folks...
Hope the bike gets fixed 100%!

First off, unless you're the rare "perfect driver" I'd hold judgement on the minivan driver.
Who hasn't either backed in to something or at least came close too?
As for the insurance; call your insurance Company and file a report.
See if they can be the "broker" of the settlement with the other insurance company.
