What kind of customization they offer? Is it "whatever you want" or just "change pegs from stock to the one you can choose at our store"?

You can go to the company website and find out just exactly what you can get.

It just gives you a quick visual on what various accessories will look like installed. It also tells you if this won't work with that, or if you need this other thing to make the first thing fit right.

Not a bad quick-and-dirty tool to use, but I doubt it gives ALL the OEM parts options that will fit this or that model.

It does let you save your 'wish list' with part numbers so you can just print it and take it with you when you're looking to buy.

Go to Harley's website and use the HD-1 build your bike tool. Take note...there are only a couple bikes that you can actually make factory changes on some of the more expensive (price+labor) changes like handlebars, controls, wheels etc...

The other models everything is "dealer installed" and they factor that into the price. But...at least you can play with the look of the bikes.

So I can't ask them to make a custom gas tank or chopped rear fender?

Negative. They deal in factory and P&A parts only. If you want a chopped rear fender, you can buy one aftermarket or cut yours yourself.
