Default Ear buds that work under a helmet

I have to wear hearing protection due to some hearing loss and ringing in the ear (tinnitus). Too many years of careless abuse to my ears - playing in rock bands for 25 years, riding loud bikes, shooting fire arms - all without ear protection.

So now, I have ear molded ear plugs. They work great, but I would really like to listen to music while I ride. Currently, I am using some pretty nice in-ear, sound isolating blu tooth ear buds that work really well if I ride without a helmet, but they stick out too far and are uncomfortable when riding with a helmet.

I use both half and 3/4 helmets.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks,
Brad

These wee Bose ear buds. I ride with a Bell Star full face and can get it on my head without knocking these out of place. I can also control volume with a gloved hand. Win win.

I saw some on ebay the other day that were molded with speakers built in. You may want to check them out.

Are they legal? Wouldn't they further deteriorate your hearing?

I was at a rally a few years back and there was a guy making those molded ear plugs. At the time I had him make me a set but we put a hole all the way through them and he super glued a pair of cheap Skull candy ear buds with them. I am telling you that they sound as well as my Bose headphones.

I'm using some Klipsch I got from Best Buy..

They have different size ends you can change out depending on size of your ear..

Sound quality is amazing in those things.

We were at Sturgis, rapid city HD during the week of the rally .... in their parking lot there were guys that molded custom ear buds to your ear.......they also molded the ear buds for noice canceling with music buds, again they were custom molded to each ear......my wife loves them. Maybe the next rally you might look for them,,,,,they appear to all the bug rallies.

What Tall Mike said.

Short Mike (me) says the same thing. I don't use mine much anymore since I put the Sena comm system in my helmet. It automatically connects to my phone. But I used the Klipsch for quiet a while
