Loctite on Docking Hardware
HD recommends using red #262 on the bracket mounting bolts.
Has anyone used the blue #242 instead?
If I want to take them off, I would like to be able to without a struggle.
Thanks!

Depends on how strong you are even red is crack-able, I use red for almost everything unless I know I will switch it latter on

try blue locktite 243, it's pretty strong without being permanent like the red stuff.

I have only used Red on very permanent installs, that stuff like head bolts, where cleaning the threads in block is part of R&R.
My vote Blue too.
