Bike fell over???
Thursday I came home to find my bike on its side in the garage. Its up in a tandem section of the garage so no one walks past it. It is just my wife and I so no one else in the house.
I picked up one of these stands from harbor freight about 7 months ago.

I have been putting the bike in it after ever ride because it takes up less room standing upright. Bike was in it for two weeks prior to it falling over. Here is the part that has me scratching my head. The stand was still attached to the front tire of the bike. So it did not fall out of the stand, I had to pull the stand off the front tire before picking it up.
Anyone ever seen this happen? I can not find anything where on the web about these things falling over.
Damage seems minor at this point, mirror has some paint on it where it hit a metal parts storage rack, rear turn signal is lose and broken and a small ding in the chrome where the tank console hit a metal cabinet.
Thanks all.

Things happen but that one is weird. Had mine on the jack (cheap POS that I got from a friend) and the safety latch failed. it slowly lowered while I was at work but fortunately came to rest on the stand.
You might try snugging it up to a wall with the kick stand on the wall side, helps minimize the bikes footprint in the garage and will be stable.

I am the butler, gardener, trashman, maintenanceman ... LOL
Bike was parked in neutral, It could not roll back and stay fully locked in the stand, I don't think.
Twizted, thanks for sharing your experience. I can not bolt it to the slab but I am thinking about welding on extended legs to further expand the base.
Don't get many quakes in Phoenix, although there was one in CA that morning a 3.5 but it was 235 miles away as the crow flies.
I am sure it made a hell of a bang. Dented my race deck flooring, which I am sure helped keep the damage down, where the front peg dug in. So far damage seems to be on the low end, so wallet is not screaming to loudly yet.
