I recently purchased one of these on Amazon.
Rugged Geek

Not much bigger than a large cell phone

Charge it to 100%. Use the Positive off your starter and the a frame fastener for negative.

Yes it works

.

I bought one of these https://www.cobra.com/products/porta...k-xl-cpp-12000

I bought it from the Evine shopping channel for $103.00 including shipping

I haven't used it on my motorcycle, but I did use it to start my garden tractor that the battery was dead on the other day.

It worked very well, started it no problem, I hope I never have to use it on the motorcycle but its small enough to carry with me on rides cheap insurance I think.

I have an Antigravities XP-10 and it will fire up a big rig.
The downside is I can't find a pigtail to allow it to connect directly to my battery.

If all you want it for is to jump your bike then get the XP-5 and the pigtail that it can connect too.

Question for touring bike owners.

I have one of the Walmart portable jump starters, but it has large plastic clamps on the ends of the cables like these (pic from "Rugged Geek" battery from amazon in post 2 above):

How the heck do you get the clamps over the battery lugs?
No clearance on either side of the battery compartment, at least on my bike (07 Road Glide)...

Here is the pigtail for the XP-10 .

The pigtail for the XP-10 is different than the pigtail for the XP-1, XP-3 and XP-5. The XP-10 pigtail has a curved connector. The one for the others is straight.

Instead of attaching the clamps to the battery, attach it to the starter and a ground.

I bought the battery tender replacement.
It's bigger Guage. still accepts battery tender..
The battery pack piece packs into the case.
No tools needed for a jump

I keep an XP-10 jump kit in my saddlebag at all times. I have not had to jump start my bike however I have helped others. I connect the ground on any suitable bolt on the engine and attach the positive to the starter wire, this eliminates the need to use tools and remove seats and such.
