Default A WARNING about this new line paint on the roads !!!!

I don't know what the stuff is that is being used for street lines , turn arrows , and words like right only . But I'm telling you all when this stuff is newly painted on the roads and wet from rain it is as slippery as ****. So be warned to watch out when braking on this in the rain . You might go down fast .

Roundabouts with those arrows showing you that you are going in a circle as if you don't know will get you if you are not careful. I wonder why they don't put some grit in the paint.

That's not new. Been that way since I started riding in 2004. And probably way before that. I've been told it contains Teflon to add durability.

Not sure but I've watched them put new arrows down and lines around here... they were not painted, it was a decal.

Paint crews are supposed to throw silica on the wet paint, to give it more friction. Try to avoid all those painted surfaces ( especially freeway offramps) where braking is necessary.

It's not sprayed down like paint . It's like a liquid that is poured hot and gets clear sand poured on it before it cures or hardens .

I've always stayed away from lines and arrows AND those reflectors in the middle of the road. I learned that one day turning and my front wheel slid on it.
