Default How many take their furry friends out?

I just bought a pet carrier and took my three dogs out for their first ride today. They loved it, the youngest had to go for a second ride. He wouldn't stop crying until I put him back on the bike. He couldn't get enough of it.

I love my dogs but just see no reason to take them on a bike ride with me not to mention that if I was in an accident there is a good chance they will be injured or worse and I would likely be kicking my own *** for taking them on the bike. The other thing for me is an animal is animal and no matter how well I train my dogs or horses there can always be something that makes their actions unpredictable. Last thing I need on a bike ride is unpredictable behavior from my dog at the wrong time.
I have nothing against folks that carry their dog on a ride, its just not for me. As a side note my dogs are English Labs and would want to take up the entire seat

I forgot to mention they are in a harness attached to a very short leash to prevent them from getting anymore than their head and front paws out. I would hate to have one hanging by the leash or worse.

Our St Bernard? Not happening. Lol.
Our crazy inbred beagle? Good luck.
The Chihuahua Min Pin mix. He'd have a heart attack.
The Pit Bull. He'd love it but he'd want to be in my lap.

There's a guy around here has a giant poodle. He just jumps on the back seat and puts his paws on the guys back and away they go.

Pretty cool.

Maybe he or she would prefer a basket on the front fairing for a better view

For that reason I won`t take my Jack Russell, a very active dog, on a motorcycle ride either. Now, he`s in my car anytime I go anywhere that I can take a dog.....

Yep my lab often rides in the truck if I am going somewhere that he can go in or if I am just running an errand where I know I will only be parked a few minutes. However he does get lots of rides in the woods and pastures in the back of the Yamaha Rhino
