I am aware but my bike is starting to show its known problems and soon need the motor dropped to do the valves. I am just afraid mine won't make it to the end of summer
FWIW, I paid $8000 (cash) for my 2000 Ultra Classic with 22K on it and it was a damn near immaculate garage queen. Almost 60K on it 4 years later with no issues.
You asked for advice, we gave it to you. It's up to you whether or not you listen to it.
The RG trade in value is $1300 higher than the VRod retail. Retail to retail comparison is almost $5490. Sure lots of miles...But that's a lot of scratch to leave on the table. If everything else looks good, I'd offer straight trade and then have cash to freshen or replace engine should you have issues. But an 01 has the good stuff in the bottom.
Thanks for asking that question Dickey-I was wondering wtf he was talking about.I don't like v-rods,but it still sounds like a crap deal. Even trade, maybe yeah. I have no idea what the v-rod[on the real market] is worth though.
