Use Super Glue next time to hold them in place!

There is a new product out, (well fairly new) Moto-Skiveez. Underwear developed specifically to prevent your butt from getting sore. Same thing that cyclists have been using for ever, just made for motorcycles. Lots of reviews out there. Here is a new review;

If I am wrong, then why does the "broken in" seat feel hard as a rock after a winter of not riding?
Most likely because your butt stopped being accustomed to the seat over the winter. It's sort of like horseback riding. If you ride every day it's not a problem, but climb in the saddle for an 8 hour day when you haven't ridden for a few months and I guarantee you'll feel it the next day.

Plus, your tookus might have "rearranged" itself a bit over the winter as well....

As noted above...

In addition to addressing the motorcycle seat, you may be able to improve your situation by improving your gluteus maximus, especially the section that gets pinched between your pelvis (sitting bones) and the seat.

I don't think putting ice on your new Mustang seat is going to help.
Seats and "butts" all need time in the saddle. Seats and butts need break in and conditioning. Ride it and the discomfort will be less. I have not replaced a stock seat on my last 3 Harley's. I use the AirHawk II seat pad medium. Flips over when parked in sun and no more discomfort and transfers from bike to bike. Mine has lasted 4 years, so far.

I have a Mustang Wide and it's been good on my daily rides. If I have to do more than about an hour and a half I use the Road Zeppelin air pad. It's basically the Airhawk R. It works great. It's kind of a pain in the *** for local stuff but on longer rides it extends my ride. That and my backrest.
