Dealer tried to rip me off.... again
The local dealer here for years was about half a crook.
Another fellow bought him out so I started doing business with them again.
I needed a new inspection sticker so I stopped in yesterday to have them inspect my bike.
10 minutes late they came to me with a big concerned look on their faces.
Seemed my back tire was ok but my front was worn out.
No way to get the state required sticker without replacing it.
They just needed to know If I had time to wait on them to mount them.
I laughed out loud and told them they were a bunch of crooks.
That front tire was pretty much brand new and the funny part was they sold it to me a month ago.
I made him pull it up on his computer and check. The tire had 1100 miles on it. I let them know what my opinion was of folks who try to black mail people into buying stuff to get the state required sticker and left
Went down thew street and had it inspected.
After the inspection I asked the fellow " my tires ok ?"
He looked at me funny and said "well yes, I thought they were brand new"

Had a similar experience in Virginia.
In my state, the Virginia State Police runs the Safety Inspection program.
Many local gas stations are safety inspection stations.
Had an VA inspector try to fail my vehicle for a defective motor mount.
Asked the inspector to show me the defect, and the specs for failure.
He couldn't show me the spec, and when tested, the component functioned perfectly.
Advised him to pass my vehicle, or I'd call the State PoPo to drive over to inspect the "defect" and have his inspection license pulled.
I got my sticker.
Find out who runs the program in your state and report them.
