Default Dobeck TFI Tuner

Thinking of going with the Dobeck TFI tuner on my Ultra. Looking for reviews on this unit. Looks very easy to set up, and reasonably priced. Good warranty too.
All commentary welcome.

I have one on my 2005 Low Rider, it helped reduce the heat due to the lean mixture on the fuel injection. Mine came with sheet to help you go to basic adjustments with what external engine mods you might have. Keep in mind it won't do anything for most internal mods. Easily adjustable.

Did you have to get the O2 bung welded into your pipes?
How did that work out?

No welding needed, just plug the bungs.

May have read your question wrong, if you are asking about "installing" bung. The TFI bypasses the o2 sensors.

they have different tuners for older models
( like mine ) that don't have 02 sensors. They plug in to the fuel injectors.

The unit plugs on the injectors, bikes ECM injector plugs go to the TFI plugs on the injectors and a black wire to ground. No o2 sensors on my 05. The TFI is adding fuel at different rpm's. You are adjusting the pulse width on the injectors like you dial in a carb.

I have one on my Stage I '09 Heritage, and like it. It richens up the mix, which cools the bike down (my main issue was the factory-tuned bike ran too hot). It's not nearly as high tech as the newer tuning systems like Power Vision, etc., but maybe that's the beauty of it. If your looking for a simple solution that actually works well, and not worried about get every ounce of HP and/or torque you can out of the motor, then I think you're well served by the Dobeck line of products.

MysticTraveler,

I agree, I know guys with big money in tuners & dyno runs, etc. every little upgrade costs to re-tune, with this unit a screw driver, a good ear & a test ride or two & you got more than your moneys worth.

I have had Dobeck tuners on all my harleys and they worked great. Another plus they will go out of there way to help you get dialed in also are top notch if you have any trouble with your unit. I had them on my bike that had stage 1 and also cams worked flawless for me
