Default New grips,wow

I am putting new bars on my 03 RK and was shocked at some of the prices of grips. What should I be paying for a good user friendly grips? I don't need any fancy custom grips, just something functional and comfortable, not junk. I was ok with the factory hard rubber grips but told they were no longer available.
I will pay what I have to pay for decent set of grips.

Not sure who told you the stock grips were no longer available but from what I can tell they are still available from at least 2 parts websites.

$50-$75 will get you a decent set of grips from several manufacturers.

+1 on the Kung Fu grips. I seldom wear gloves and hate the sticky palms I get with the stock grips. Great price for a great product.

The sticky stock grips is why I changed mine as soon as I could. I hated wearing gloves to stop feeling that.

I am with you guys. I am putting together a bar project as well and grips is my biggest sticking point. I don't mind the look and feel of my current ones except for the sticky rubber. It seems like almost all of them eventually get that way. I am really considering going to all metal grips.

I love my Avon Custom Contour grips. The texture on the rubber is nice and grippy with or without gloves and never gets sticky.
