Default Brown leather don't seem to get that much love

Black leather everywhere,in jackets, pants, chaps, boots, gloves and on bikes. I see black more of what's in style. IMO too much of that color is being used. However I haven't seen many talk about brown leather. I was nosing online and not many items I listed has much in brown. If there anything in that color, the selection is not vast at all. I'm just puzzled at why brown leather don't seem to get that much love or attention.

Maybe brown isn't black enough?

I like it though, on the right bike. I remember seeing a root beer brown Road King or Softail, looked pretty badass. Maybe I can find a pic...

I agree if you have the right shade of brown on a bike it look good too. I just think that the color seems the be overshadowed by black and overlooked.

It's simple really. It's because black goes with everything. Much higher chance that black will sell, so that's what is on the market.

So can brown. It is to me the most neutral color and goes with almost anything beside grey.

My Schott Perfecto 125 is brown and it's my favorite jacket.

As Harleys said in one its movie ads 'we wear black Leather 'cos' it don't show the dirt' unlike Baka 1969s jacket, I used to wear a brown jacket and it got pretty grubby quite quickly, not to mention the sweat stain round the collar.

Brown leather for me as well. Jacket, chaps, and gloves. Brown gloves are the hardest to find.

How can you miss some of the Power Ranger leather outfits buzzing around? There are colors I never imagined on some of those sport bikes.
