Saw a cop on a Harley this morning...
And it really struck me that it had been quite a while since I'd seen a cop on a Harley. Then I saw this post on the HP about how H-D celebrating a 110 years of partnership with law enforcement, and it made me wonder about how it is around the country. I live in Seattle, and lived in LA for seven years. It seems like both departments basically phased out the H-Ds — for Hondas, I think — years ago. Are the police still on Harleys in your neck of the woods?

We don't have much LE on bikes around here. I think our county had one for a while under the HD program where you could lease a bike for a year. I think that program is gone, so is the counties HD.
I read a while back that the CA Hwy. Patrol went from HD to BMW, and were going back to HD.
Victory is toast, and I know at least a couple agencies were using those. Daytona Beach, for one.
Maybe HD will pick up some of Victories mc contacts

Here in Durango CO the cops ride Harley Electra Glides. I firmly believe that each and every time any level of government needs to buy any type of vehicle, they should have an extreme bias to buy American (if the US government won't even buy American we're all doomed). They should buy foreign if and only if no one in the US makes a vehicle like what is needed. I know someone that has 2 sons that work for Denver Police as cycle cops. They ride Harleys but don't like them. The reason is they don't perform well when jumping curbs and other pursuit maneuvers. They recently tried out Electric Harleys. I didn't even know Harley had anything electric so I Googled it.
