OP: Looks nice. I don't know how much you know about Harleys, but a lot of things have been changed out on that bike; primarily both fenders and the entire front end including the forks, trees, and the front wheel. Possibly the rear wheel as well. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you ever need to get parts.

Good luck with it, and enjoy!

Exactly my thoughts.
First, congrats on a cool motorcycle at a great price. Second, what once may have been a convertible...... is no longer. Damn near everything that can be changed, has. It's just me talking out loud, but start googling Dyna convertibles, to get an idea whats going on. So should the time come you need parts, you know what your dealing with.

I knew the fenders were different and I thought the front end looked like a ness but I don't know. The guy I bought it from only had it for a short time and had money problems so I got the bike. The belt looks wider than the others I've seen. I've ridden older evo bikes and this thing seems to have way more power. I wish I knew who built it so I could pick they're brains about it. I was told it's gear driven cams though I have no way of knowing for sure.

as far as the fenders go I actually may change them out eventually and put something similar to a softail deuce on the rear and on something similar to a street Bob on the front. The front end is a little of a concern for me as I don't know what it is and if I need seals I'll have a problem ordering.

Nice looking bike. Check it all out and then ride.

I just picked up a 99 earlier this week. With two days of rain and then snow yesterday I have not been able to ride it. The dealer did deliver it to me as it was raining.

Not as good with picture taking but here is my one picture of it today in some sun but 29 degrees. FXSTS.

You gotta like a poster that starts a thread to tell about his new bike and also includes lots of pics for us to admire.

Good looking bike, enjoy
