Default AZ Bike Week 2017

Heading out to AZ for Bike Week this year, never been to this event. Wanted to get some input on the event itself. What's worth it and what's not, any bars that will make this trip interesting, restaurants..... Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Planning on being there also. Hideaway Grill and The Roadhouse are awesome bars with great atmosphere. There in Cave Creek.

Dirty Dogg is fun. Gets crowded, but the scenery is great - you'll know what I mean when you get there, but supposedly this place inspired the movie Coyote Ugly. Hideaway is also a must. I haven't been in a couple of years and I heard Greasewood Flats is now closed, but if not, suggest that spot too. None of these places are at Westworld...Hideaway is in Cave Creek, (as mentioned earlier), The Dogg is on Scottsdale Blvd. Can't remember where Greasewood is, (was?). The dealerships all do events around Bike Week as well. Have fun and ride safe. If you have the time, take the ride up to Prescott thru Jerome. Beautiful ride - carve out a day for that. Well worth it.

Just looked them all up, now I know what you mean about the Dirty Dogg. Looks like a fun place. Greasewood Flats did close a few years ago. I've done a ride thru Prescott, Sedona and Jerome. It was a great ride!!

No, they are a few miles north in the Carefree/Cave Creek area.

I've been to the event several times since I live a half hour away. All I do anymore is sign up for a charity ride or two. They usually bring in some good bands, though. There used to be just one event at Westworld, then Bob Parsons (Scottsdale HD dealer) took things over and a second venue was created. I believe that's at Westgate this year. Westgate is at Glendale Ave and loop 101 on the west side of the valley. It's a big shopping/entertainment complex and is where the Cardinals stadium and Coyotes arena are.

Greasewood Flats is long gone, they are building houses there now.

AZ has great riding in April. Nice loop out of Scottsdale is Hwy 87 north to Payson. 280 west through Pine and Strawberry over to I17. Continue on to Jerome and back if you have time.
