WOW I just check it out , but for anything over 59 bucks they can rot on the shelfs . It's nice but not a 100 dollars nice .

How big of an issue is thieves stealing oil caps or folks dumping stuff in oil tanks? I have been riding a long time, met a lot of people that ride and have yet to met a person that had an issue with stolen oil caps or someone dumping stuff in their oil. Not saying it does not happen but seems kinda rare from my perspective

 

I didn't know there was a locking OIL cap. Gas cap...yeah.

 

I've heard of oil caps blowing out from the spout, but that was due to breather issues. This wouldn't solve that problem either.

 

I've yet to experience anyone messing with my unlocked gas tank, let alone the oil.

 

I would assume that oil caps with a temp gauge on them would be more prone to stealing due to their novelty/function versus a plain old oil cap.

 

The locking cap and its price does not seem like something to get someone's shorts is a bind.

^^^^ Just goes to show ya the value of advertising. I have my page expanded to block them out. I did have some cumbubble steal the oil cap off one of my Shovelheads once. It was rather unique. I haven't seen it on a bike yet but if I do......
